How Manjaros Cut Delivery Commission Without Losing the App Feel

12 sites · London + Midlands

Before

GloriaFood for online ordering. Marketplace apps for discovery. Separate loyalty tooling that never synced with the till.

After

  • Online orderingStorekit
  • EPOS & marketplace aggregationDeliverect
  • Driver management & trackingShipday

Manjaros built a following on bold flavours and consistent execution across sites. The ordering layer had to match — same look, same speed, whether a guest ordered on a marketplace app or direct.

The commission problem was hiding in plain sight

Every delivery routed through aggregators carried a fee that compounded at scale. Leadership wanted guests to choose Manjaros first — not a third-party shell with someone else's branding on top.

It's vital that the experience for the customer feels the same, and looks better than what they're used to with the marketplace apps, otherwise they won't use it again.

Migration without a menu rewrite

Storekit pulled GloriaFood menus and modifiers in one pass. Saman's team validated site-by-site, then flipped DNS and app links over a single weekend window per cluster.

  • Branded web ordering matched in-store tone
  • Deliverect kept kitchen screens stable while channels shifted
  • Loyalty hooks tied repeat behaviour back to direct

What changed in the first 90 days

Direct share climbed as regulars learned the new URL and app icon. Kitchens reported fewer order-type surprises because modifiers synced cleanly from the CMS.

Stack they run now

One ordering brain, multiple sites, aggregator delivery only where it still pays for discovery — not as the default path for every guest.

It's vital that the experience for the customer feels the same, and looks better than what they're used to with the marketplace apps, otherwise they won't use it again.
